Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Night Position (0.7 FTE)
Position Summary The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides compassionate, resident-centered care while working collaboratively with the healthcare team. This night position plays a key role in ensuring the safety, comfort, and well-being of residents during overnight hours.

Shift: Nights
Hours: 23:00 – 07:15
Key Responsibilities
Provide direct nursing care to residents in accordance with care plans and policies
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
Monitor, assess, and document residents’ health status and report changes
Respond to overnight needs, emergencies, and resident concerns
Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure continuity of care
Support and guide Health Care Aides (HCAs) during the shift
Ensure a safe, calm, and supportive environment for residents
Maintain accurate and timely documentation
Qualifications
Current registration and in good standing with the provincial regulatory body (e.g., CLPNA in Alberta)
Completion of an accredited Practical Nursing program
Current CPR/First Aid certification
Experience & Skills
Experience in long-term care or supportive living preferred
Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
Ability to work independently with confidence during night shifts
