Housekeeper

Position Summary:

We are looking for a detail-oriented, dependable, and compassionate Housekeeper to help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our residents. This casual part-time role is ideal for someone who takes pride in their work and enjoys contributing to the comfort and well-being of seniors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Clean resident suites, common areas, and staff spaces according to established schedules and standards
• Perform tasks such as dusting, vacuuming, mopping, disinfecting surfaces, and emptying trash
• Launder linens and towels as required
• Restock supplies and report any maintenance or safety issues
• Ensure all cleaning practices follow health and safety guidelines
• Be adaptable to the changing needs of the community and team, assisting with special cleaning projects or resident requests
• Maintain a respectful and courteous attitude toward residents, visitors, and coworkers
• Support infection control protocols and contribute to a healthy living environment
• Participate in team meetings and training sessions as needed

Qualifications:

• Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred
• Knowledge of cleaning products, equipment, and safe handling procedures
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail and time management skills
• Physical ability to perform cleaning tasks (e.g., lifting, bending, standing for extended periods)
• Empathy and patience when working in a seniors living environment
• Flexible availability including weekends and holidays
