DUTIES
- Sets tables, serves food and beverages in accordance with the established policies and procedures and all applicable regulations
- Maintains work and storage areas in a clean, safe and sanitary manner
- Washes, cleans and stores dishes, cutlery, fixtures and equipment used for food preparation and service
- Operates food service equipment, such as hot carts and dishwashers
- Prepares food items and assembles ready foods for service
- Other duties may include light food preparation, portioning and plating
- Demonstrates knowledge of fire/emergency procedures and policies of the facility; participates in fire and emergency drills
- Performs other related duties as assigned
- Grade 10 education
- Current Food Safe Level 1 Certification
- Ability to communicate in English both verbally and in writing
- Current and clear Criminal Records Check including the Vulnerable Sector Check that has been obtained no more than 6 months prior to hire date
- Immunization Records, including Tuberculosis screening
- Previous experience in a senior's home setting and/or previous food service establishment
