Qualifications:
Graduate of a Recognized Cooking Program (asset) Cooking Experience in Long Term Care Post-secondary diploma in food and nutrition management or post-secondary degree in food and nutrition (asset) Ability to use all commercial food preparation equipment. Ability to follow production lists & recipes Able to read, understand & follow therapeutic menus & resident diet orders Read, write and understand English language.

Responsibilities: Prepares meals in accordance with Chippawa Creek at Bella Policy Follows all MOHLTC Regulations & Public Health guidelines Maintains a clean & sanitary kitchen & cooking area Washes dishes, pots/pans & maintains a clean kitchen Replaces shifts staff in absence of Nutrition Manager Oversees Dietary Operations as needed Prepares nourishments and snacks Records temperatures of food & equipment Attends/completes in-service education
