Social Worker

Part-time Clinical Social Worker required for Long Term Care Home in Salmon Arm B.C. Home provides full-time care to 56 complex care Residents. In collaboration with Site Leader/Leadership Team assists Resident and family members to source resources in the areas of substitute decision making and financial management. Provides transition support to Residents and Family upon Move-In and promotes Resident autonomy in decision-making for health care, personal, and financial matters. Contributes to the development, implementation, and evaluation of the Resident Care Plan as an interdisciplinary team member. Advocates on behalf of the Resident and/or family as appropriate.

Professional Requirements: Baccalaureate Degree in Social Work or its equivalent from an accredited School of Social Work as well as current license and registration with appropriate provincial professional body. Successful candidate will be required to provide recent (with in last 6 months) criminal background check.  

This is a contracted provider position with Park Place Seniors Living.  This position is 20 hours maximum per month with no guaranteed minimum hours. Mileage compensation will be provided as required using a set annual rate.
